Director, Business Development:

This new position for Image was created for the “right” individual with senior level experience to analyze, seek out and identify new business sectors, work on growing our current sectors, identify potential business partners and negotiate agreements with those potential partners. This role will also participate in enhancing and streamlining the proposal development process and travel wherever and whenever necessary to do what it takes to bring in new business. This extremely hands-on development position helps to direct, establish, maintain, and plan the overall policies and goals for all of Image’s sales initiatives.

This position will also oversee the coordination of projects between Sales and Account Executives and our other internal teams including Creative Communications, Audiovisual Rental and Staging, Marketing, and Administrative Services. This position requires a bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 3+ years of progressive experience in a business development managerial role or a combination of education and a minimum of 5+ years of progressive hands-on experience in a business development managerial role. While experience in our industry is preferable, a true business development director should be able to adapt to any industry.

In addition to the requirements presented above, this role demands someone with a vibrant personality who is a self-motivated, out-of-the-box thinker not afraid to take on any challenge presented with enthusiasm and energy. This person must be able to pass that enthusiasm and energy on to their team to keep them challenged and razor-sharp on the cutting-edge of our industry at all times. We are particularly interested in applicants who have experience in the emerging areas of social and business networking that may include, but not be limited to, on-line tools such as Facebook, Linkedin and twitter… among others.

This positions reports directly to the President and will manage the sales and account executives as well as other staff members who may be assigned to your team for individual projects. Business Development / Sales Managers (full-time position) (Government and Non-Government Positions available):

Position solicits new business in the Federal and State Government, Corporate and Association arenas. The position involves extensive customer contact and memberships in related professional associations as needed. Position solicits new business for Event Services through consultative sales by targeting government, corporate, associations, and meeting planners and creating professional bids and proposals. Targets and develops potential meeting venues and maintains on-going relationship, acting as a liaison with the company. Also coordinates national marketing endeavors, raising the profile of Event Services within the market place. Cultivates relationships and activates memberships with key industry organizations. Meets client’s needs through attending pre-conference meetings and maintaining organized show files, responding to clients concerns, questions and problems in a timely manner.

Skills required for the position include but are not limited to: Account Planning, Communication, Relationship Management, Financial Acumen, the Art of Negotiation, Sales Proficiency, Value Proposition Selling, Business Acumen, Ability to travel as needed and sometimes with very short notice.

Helpful but not required are: Federal and State Government contract experience, BA/BS preferred, 3-5 years experience in audiovisual event execution and/or sales, basic understanding of audiovisual and computer equipment and their applications. CDL Driver (full-time position):

Driving AV equipment to and from exhibit/conference locations throughout the United States. Assisting with loading and unloading of event vehicles both on location and at Image’s warehouses as required. Set up, operate, and break down audiovisual equipment per event. Inspect equipment before and after each event to ensure quality control. Communicate with on-site contact to confirm event times, event location, move-in time. Provide warehouse support to include maintenance and inventory of all audio, video and lighting related equipment. Follow correct paperwork procedures to assure proper inventory control. Maintain a professional positive attitude with all customers and co-workers. Familiarity with one or more of the following software packages helpful but not required: WYSIWYG, Vivien, AutoCAD, Vectorworks.

Audiovisual Technicians (full-time position):

Skills required for the position include but are not limited to:  direct experience and proven command of some or all of the following audiovisual disciplines and gear:  Conventional and Intelligent Lighting Systems (Whole Hog 1000, ETC Dimmers & Conventionals, Martin Mac 2K Performance, Mac 600NT, Mac 550 & LEDs), Live Audio Systems, Live Multi-Camera Switching and Recording Systems, LCD/DLP Projection Systems, Computer Hardware and Software, including MS Office applications, Power Distribution, Crew Management, Event Logistics and Equipment Preparation, Event Engineering and LCD & DLP projection systems

Sr. Web Developer / Programmer – Classic ASP, .NET, Flash (full-time position or possibility of an independent contract position once skills are proven):

Position requires providing application development and technical support for internal and external websites and projects, developing web pages and applications, analyzing and evaluating existing or proposed systems in order to design or redesign computer systems to process data, providing technical consultation in new systems development, new package evaluations and enhancements to existing systems, preparing functional specifications from which programs will be written, then designs, codes, tests, debugs and documents programs, participating in the technical design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of website servers, planning, scheduling and conducting systems tests, monitors test results, and takes appropriate corrective action.

Skills required for the position include but are not limited to: Advanced skills in Classic ASP, .NET, Flash (Flash 3D and ActionScript helpful but not required), Bachelor’s degree required with a minimum of 3 years experience in a related field or equivalent combination of formal education and hands-on experience, SCORM and Section 508 accessibility experience helpful but not required, excellent communication skills and results-driven execution, ability to handle a number of different priority projects simultaneously, meet deadlines and work under pressure, must pay strict attention to detail, high degree of initiative and self-motivation along with a strong desire to succeed.

Graphic Artist (full-time position):

The Graphic Artist produces original, still artwork or 2D animation for incorporation into video. This person may use PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects and Adobe Illustrator and must be familiar with all procedures for importing graphics into video environments, such as Alpha Channels and Mattes.

Multimedia Developer (full-time position):

The Multimedia Develoer produces complex, multi-layered moving images for incorporation into video. This individual may use 3-D Studio Max, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere, Maya, Apple Motion, Apple Final Cut Pro, and Avid Media Composer.

Production Assistant (full-time position):

The Production Assistant provides miscellaneous services to the production and the producer-director. Duties may include coordinating and transporting equipment, logging tape, duplicating tape, digitizing footage in the Avid system, obtaining photo releases, focusing lights under the direction of the Lighting Director, and other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Transcriptionist (Independent Contractor Position):

This person provides a verbatim transcription of supplied video or audio tape. The transcription must be in a common word processing format (such as MS Word), and must contain time code reference. The transcriptionist must be able to provide transcripts within an agreed upon time of receiving source tape.

Makeup Artist (Independent Contractor Position):

The Makeup Artist applies makeup to professional talent and panelists for proper appearance. The makeup artist provides necessary makeup and associated supplies and should have additional training, skills, and experience, as he or she may also be asked to style hair, help with wardrobe services, and/or create special makeup effects such as wounds or scars.

Scriptwriters (Independent Contractor Position):

The Scriptwriter works closely with the Image’s program managers, producers, and/or contract producer-director to create a script that accomplishes the clients objectives and maintains audience interest. Depending on the format of the production, the script may take the form of a typical “talk show,” a “news magazine,” or a dramatic production. The scriptwriter may be required to create characters and dramatic scenarios in some cases.

Producers (Independent Contractor Position):

The Producer is responsible for producing live distance learning and information broadcasts; producing taped educational, instructional, and dramatic scripted shows; planning and coordinating all types of broadcast events and video production projects; and working with VA to assess needs, make recommendations as to the best and most effective way to achieve objectives through the use of the medium. Must have a minimum of 5 years experience as a producer. Must have understanding of all elements of production and excellent writing skills.

Directors (Independent Contractor Position):

The Director directs (film style) productions. He or she is responsible for all aspects of the production and for supervising and coordinating the efforts of all members of the production crew. The Director must be highly skilled in breaking down scripts, developing storyboards, developing a shooting plan and schedule, casting talent, and establishing the overall look and feel of the piece. He or she must be able to block scenes and direct actors; establish camera position, framing, and camera movement; ensure thorough coverage of each scene without “crossing the line;” work with the director of photography to light each scene, select lenses and filters; work with the script supervisor to ensure thorough coverage and continuity; and work with the editor to make each scene as effective as possible.

Technical Director (Independent Contractor Position):

The Technical Director operates the video switcher that controls all incoming and outgoing video sources. He or she is responsible for setting up digital video effects, switching between cameras and other sources, keying graphics over live video, setting cues for tape roll-ins, and other activities related to using a switcher. On a location shoot, the Technical Director shall be familiar with the operation of the equipment the Contractor deploys to the remote location.

Videographer – Studio (Independent Contractor Position):

The Videographer operates a studio camera during a live or a live-to-tape broadcast. He or she must be able to execute pushes, pulls, pans, and focal pulls smoothly and consistently. He or she must be able to work as part of a team of videographers and must be able to understand and respond to direction given by the Director.

Videographer – Field (Independent Contractor Position):

The Videographer operates the camera during a field shoot. He or she must be able to set up and operate a broadcast quality field equipment, compose a shot, light a scene, create dynamic camera movement, and videotape interviews, demonstrations, and b-roll. He or she must be able to work as part of a team, typically consisting of a producer, an audio engineer, and the videographer.

Still Photographer (Independent Contractor Position):

The still photographer combines artistic talent and technical skill to produce professional photographs. He or she has a technical mastery of all aspects of the process of taking professional still photographs for use in the print and the digital domain, including lighting and composition. The photographer may be required to take production stills in conjunction with a video shoot, compose and shoot publicity photos at events, shoot live action events, compose and shoot products in a controlled studio environment or other projects as specified. He or she may be responsible for supplying the appropriate professional cameras and supporting equipment, including lighting equipment and reflectors and stands as required and specified. All photographs must be produced digitally unless otherwise specified. The photographer must have a portfolio available for review and be able to demonstrate the level of technical and artistic skill required for the specified project. Image will have “buyout” rights to all still photographs produced under this procurement.
